Malware Changes Your DNS Settings – How to Fix
Problem:
You can’t open any security-related websites. You can’t run windows updates. You can’t update Malwarebytes.
Cause:
Your DNS settings have been hijacked by a malware infection.
Solution:
Edit this registry entry to remove the bad DNS settings.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesTcpipParameters
delete the entries on the DHCPNameServer key
