How To Convert MAK Installation of Office 2016 to KMS
Problem:
I have rolled out several installs of Office 2016 using my MAK key but they won’t activate because I am out of MAK licenses. I have a new KMS server setup but I don’t want to reinstall all these machines.
Solution:
Run these commands from an Administrator Command Prompt:
cscript “C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office16\ospp.vbs” /inpkey:JNRGM-WHDWX-FJJG3-K47QV-DRTFM
cscript “C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office16\ospp.vbs” /act
The first command changes the product key to the standard KMS client key. The second command activates against your local KMS server.
